We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing development team in The Netherlands. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge advanced packaging machines by developing new features, improving existing processes, and realizing innovative ideas in industrial automation. You will work in an Agile environment , supported by a team of multidisciplinary engineers. Our software development process utilizes modern tools and practices: our codebase runs on C++ and ImGui , integrated with a state-of-the-art GitLab continuous integration platform. We target a groundbreaking low-code development environment for semiconductor machine control. You will be reporting to the Advanced Packaging Manager and work within a small, growing team where you can truly make impact. You will have the freedom to introduce and develop your own ideas, with ample opportunity for feedback and refinement from our team of experienced developers.Together with this team, you create the driving force behind machines that are deployed worldwide in high-tech industries. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to regular software releases, ensuring quality and timely delivery of new functionalities. Extend our software to enable (prototyping) tools, improve existing software, and implement innovative ideas in automation. Ensure the quality and maintainability of the system by defining & implementing various testing strategies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary local team and international ASMPT teams to meet client requirements through a project-based approach. Occasional international travel to collaborate with ASMPT product development centres in Asia and Europe. THIS IS YOU At least 10 years of relevant experience in software development with a bachelor/master’s degree in computer science Strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively share ideas and translate them into software solutions A passion for high-quality, maintainable code, and an eagerness to engage in best practices Experience with modern C++, object-oriented programming and (unit) testing . Experience with Git, GitLab, Agile development, Jira, Python, SEMI standards and real-time (motion) control are a plus. Fluent in English and Dutch .
