As the Senior Structural Analyst at Damen Naval you will work within the Naval & Structural group, contributing to both basic and detailed engineering within your field of expertise. Additionally, you may contribute to R&D initiatives and process improvement within the structural analysis discipline. Deliver high-quality engineering work within established timeframes and budgets, adhering to relevant quality standards. Integrate vendor and subcontractor information and perform technical evaluations of quotations. Collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and owners to integrate delivered components and systems into ship design. Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant ship structures experience with secondary vocational education (MBO-4+). Minimum of three years of experience as a Structural Analyst in the shipbuilding or offshore industry. Familiarity with ship class calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000. Proficiency in FEM modelling and analysis software such as ANSYS, NX, or FEMAP, and CAD systems such as NUPAS (3D), 3DX, or Catia. Competencies: creative problem-solving skills, accuracy, decisiveness, efficiency, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
