We are partnered with a large global insurer who have active operations in 21 countries, and are part of one of the fastest growing global insurance groups. The team are now looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster to work within the General Liability/Automotive lines in their ever expanding Rotterdam office. The ideal candidate will have full professional proficiency in Dutch and English as well as proven track record within Claims and the relevant markets.

What you will be doing:

Investigate and manage complex General Liability claims from first notice of loss through final resolution.

Determine coverage, liability, and damages by reviewing policies, contracts, reports, and other documentation.

Conduct interviews with claimants, insureds, witnesses, and other relevant parties.

Evaluate bodily injury and property damage claims to determine appropriate reserves and settlement strategies.

Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and third-party representatives.

Manage litigated claims and collaborate with defence counsel throughout the litigation process.

Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and reports in accordance with company standards.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal claim-handling guidelines.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior claims staff when needed.

What we are looking for:

2-3+ years within an insurer's Claims department.

Strong knowledge of liability coverage, negligence laws, and claims investigation practices.

Experience handling high-exposure or complex liability claims.

Full working proficiency in Dutch and English.
