Mechanical Engineering Intern (BSc/MSc) – Graduation Internship (Thesis) | Haarlem (On-site/Hybrid)
KapiteinLabs is advancing industrial sustainability through innovative plasma and ozone technology. We help industries clean air and water, reduce emissions, and convert CO₂ into valuable resources—improving energy efficiency, lowering operational costs, and enabling compliance with strict environmental regulations.
What you’ll do
- Support the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems for prototype setups
- Create and iterate designs using CAD tools
- Assist with experiments, measurements, and performance improvements (efficiency, reliability)
- Collect, analyze, and document test data and findings
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team on ongoing engineering projects
What we’re looking for
- BSc/MSc student in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field)
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals + proficiency in CAD
- Analytical, structured problem-solver with a hands-on mindset
- Clear communicator and team player
- Interest in sustainability and industrial innovation
- Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a prototype-driven environment
Must-haves
- This must be a graduation / thesis internship (final internship before completing your degree)
- Dutch BSN number (required)
- Able to be on-site in Haarlem at least 3 days per week (hybrid work possible, but on-site presence is mandatory)
