At Sibelco Maastricht Op de Bos, you will lead a large production organization, drive Lean and Operational Excellence, and play a central role in strengthening our safety culture and delivering reliable production. If you combine strong people leadership with a pragmatic, operational mindset — and you enjoy developing teams while improving processes — we’d love to hear from you. /p pAs Manager Production, you will run day‑to‑day production operations and lead the people who run the plant. You will ensure production is safe, stable, cost‑efficient and continuously improving, while embedding changes in ways of working, mindset and culture. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the production team (10 direct reports and 55 indirect reports) and manage production activities in a safe and cost‑efficient manner. /li liRun production activities based on LEAN and Operational Excellence methodologies. /li liDrive continuous improvement to achieve team goals/KPIs, focusing on safety, productivity, energy savings, maintenance and process reliability. /li liManage and embed changes in products, working methods, mindset and culture across the production organization. /li liManage the production department’s budget, with direct responsibility for specific production cost elements. /li liActively participate in the site management team and contribute to the development of the annual plan. /li liWork closely with Maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, Planning, Shipping and HR. /li liLead and participate in project and improvement teams, including automation and safety‑related initiatives. /li liCollaborate with the Manager Maintenance to ensure stable operations with a high degree of self‑reliance and build an efficient, future‑ready team. /li liSupport people management topics including development, performance management and compliance with labour‑related processes (e.g., absence and leave management). /li liMaintain a strong shop‑floor presence: go into the factory, think along, show interest in the process and work pragmatically and hands‑on. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liSeveral years of relevant experience in a managerial position in an industrial production environment (minimum 5 years preferred). /li liBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Process Technology, Engineering, Logistics or similar — or an equivalent combination of education and experience. /li liExperience introducing and managing continuous improvement projects according to LEAN methodology. /li liProven leadership qualities: able to inspire, convince and develop teams through clarity, structure and trust. /li liExperience in change management and coaching teams through new ways of working. /li liComfortable working on a project basis and communicating progress and expectations clearly to the team. /li liKnowledge of data analysis and statistical process control; ability to use KPIs and operational data to drive performance. /li liResults‑oriented and decisive, with a flexible but structured way of working. /li liStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally. /li liPragmatic and hands‑on: visible on the shop floor and credible in an operational environment. /li liTeam player, also able to work in international teams. /li liFluent Dutch and English; German is an advantage. /li /ul h3About the Role /h3 pThis position is based at Maastricht Op de Bos and is central to the site’s operational performance and safety culture. You will lead a large production organization and work closely with site leadership and key functions (Maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, Planning, Shipping and HR).
