About the role:

As an Analyst within the underwriting team focused on transactional risk insurance, the M&A Analyst will play a key role in assessing and underwriting risks on complex M&A and corporate transactions. The role offers hands-on experience, deep exposure to deal dynamics, and involvement in high-pressure, deal-driven environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and analysing M&A documentation, including purchase agreements, disclosure materials, and financial statements, to assess risk exposure
• Supporting the drafting and issuance of transactional insurance policies, including warranty & indemnity (W&I), tax liability, and contingent risk coverages
• Assisting senior underwriters in evaluating submissions and preparing underwriting recommendations
• Coordinating due diligence reviews with external legal, tax, and financial advisors to inform underwriting decisions
• Managing deal flow through internal underwriting systems and maintaining accurate records of quotes, binders, and policies
• Liaising with brokers, legal advisors, and clients to clarify deal terms and negotiate coverage
• Participating in underwriting calls, deal discussions, and client meetings
• Attending industry events and professional development activities to stay informed of M&A and insurance market trends.
