Head of Accounting

As Head of Accounting you will manage the accounting, treasury, tax, and payroll functions for Ancient Gaming, overseeing both our flagship CS:GO Roll site and our HypeDrop shopping platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure full compliance of accounting, treasury, tax and payroll processes with local and international regulations.
• Build and improve reporting systems and financial processes to support company efficiency and performance.
• Prepare and oversee timely delivery of accurate financial statements, reporting and tax filings.
• Own the payroll process, keeping procedures up‑to‑date and maintaining detailed process maps; introduce improved processes where necessary.
• Oversee global cash management and liquidity strategy, developing and implementing robust treasury policies and procedures to optimize cash flow, manage financial risks and enhance overall performance.
• Prepare and monitor Treasury Operations reports, currency exposure, interest rate risks, and other financial risks; implement appropriate hedging strategies.
• Collaborate closely with other finance and wider company leaders to align responsibilities with business goals.
• Support wider business initiatives focusing on financial and budget implications.

Qualifications

• Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accountancy leadership experience, ideally in a high‑growth or multinational environment.
• Strong financial modelling skills with expertise in forecasting, budgeting and management accounts.
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to transform complex data sets into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Proactive problem solver with a strategic mindset, thriving in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Highly developed organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities against tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and self‑starting attitude.
• Experience in iGaming, fintech, or cryptocurrency sectors is a strong advantage.
