The Controlling department of MediaMarkt Benelux consists of 4 teams: Financial Controlling, Commercial Controlling, Operational Controlling, and Procurement Controlling.

The Financial Controlling team is the point of contact in the organization for all questions related to the P&L. The team provides insights into the financial performance of the Benelux region and controls the planning and control cycle for this region. We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to manage this team of professionals. As Team Lead Financial Controlling, you will lead one of our teams to ensure insight into the financial performance and position of MediaMarkt Benelux. Your responsibilities include:

1. Participating in the month-end close cycle by analyzing and reporting on the monthly results;
2. Ensuring a strong administrative organization and internal control around daily, weekly, and monthly processes within the department;
3. Managing the monthly forecast process regarding financial changes affecting current and upcoming months;
4. Complying with reports from the head office in Germany;
5. Analyzing results and discussing them with the Head of Controlling and senior leadership;
6. Participating in ad-hoc and process optimization projects.

Your Profile

You are an analytically excellent professional with a strong sense of ownership. You are comfortable working with large data models and excel effortlessly. A background in retail, wholesale, or logistics is a plus. You have a clear vision of your field but are open to new ideas. You excel in stakeholder management and can handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are accurate, entrepreneurial, and fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, you:

• Have at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;
• Possess or are pursuing certifications such as RC, RA, CMA, CIMA, CFA (welcome but not mandatory);
• Show talent and ambition in your career;
• Are a focus-driven, self-starting organizational top analyst;
• Are a mature communicator at all organizational levels.
