You will be working in a team of six Finance Professionals, where you will be one of the two more experienced Controllers.Job DescriptionLead a strong month-end close process, including (but not limited to):- Apply multi-element revenue recognition under IFRS or US GAAP- Prepare Work in Progress (WIP) positions- Apply lease accounting under IFRS or US GAAP- Capitalize RD hours- Account for foreign currency transactions and translations- Consolidate subsidiaries- Process intercompany recharges- Prepare account reconciliations for your assigned areas in accordance with US SOX requirements- Prepare easily understandable journals with high quality and strong supporting documentationPrepare and file annual reports to the Chamber of Commerce or other regulatory bodies in EuropeReview and reconcile VAT returnsReview daily activities such as invoices, payment proposals, bank transactions, etc.Work closely with HR and Payroll team in the US to ensure timely and accurate employee paymentsReconcile payroll monthly journals, GL balances with system reports and paymentsParticipate in the transition from Exact to OracleThe offerA good salary of €65,000 – €70,000 per year, depending on education and previous work experience25 vacation daysPension arranged through Nationale Nederlanden (1/3 employee contribution)Travel allowance of €0.23 per km, or public transport costs reimbursedYou'll be working in a close-knit team with regularly organized outingsPossibility to work in a hybrid setupA challenging position for 32 to 40 hours per week within an international organization that invests heavily in your personal developmentYour profileAt least three years of experience in a finance position, such as (Assistant) Financial Controller, Financial Accountant, or experience in accountancy (Audit or Assistant Accountant)Experience in time, project, and contract administration and work in progress (preferred)Strong experience in recording journal entriesAffinity with IT is requiredGood knowledge of Excel, including pivot tablesGood command of English, both oral and written (Dutch is a plus)You have a hands-on mentality and good communication skillsMore info?Are you the new Financial Controller for our client?
