About this role – you are the experienced E&I engineer who…

…is ready for the next step. In this role, you won’t be doing detailed engineering yourself - instead, you’ll provide technical leadership within our Capital Projects organization. You will use your E&I expertise to make projects smarter, safer, and future‑proof. You guide direction, assess designs, challenge decisions, and keep project teams on track.

You will work at the crossroads of production, project management, maintenance, and our external engineering partner Fluor. You understand what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and the smartest way to execute it and you communicate this clearly at every level. You’re the sparring partner who understands the field, sees what’s coming, and helps others move forward.

We manage an annual project portfolio of approximately $20 million, consisting of both minor projects (< $500K) and small projects (< $10M). Depending on the project scope, E&I plays a crucial role in the successful execution of these projects.

What you will do

As E&I Engineering Lead , you ensure that our capital investment projects are technically sound and executed smoothly. You will:

  • Translate E&I needs from the plant into clear technical requirements for Fluor and other engineering partners
  • Review designs, specifications, calculations, and proposals (without producing drawings yourself)
  • Advise throughout all project phases: from business case to full funding
  • Ensure compliance with Chemours standards and international codes such as NEC, IEEE, and NFPA
  • Support installation, commissioning, and start‑up of new systems
  • Contribute to annual maintenance projects and turnarounds with an E&I scope
  • Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance to identify and prioritize upgrade needs
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders: from operators to lead engineers and project managers

In short:

You are the technical compass for all E&I matters within capital projects, ensuring that decisions are sound, execution is correct, and the plant remains safe and future‑ready.
