In this new position, you will consolidate the configuration management processes currently delegated throughout the organization to improve consistency and compliance. You will drive change management initiatives to take ownership of configuration management and adapt your improved processes within the organization. Develop and improve end-to-end configuration management processes, documenting them in the Damen Naval Management System (DNMS). Establish the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for tenders and projects, aligning with Planning and Finance. Manage configuration data and information exchange with customers, partners, vendors, and subcontractors. Report to management on CM topics and provide solutions and advice. Train and coach CM representatives on internal standards. 5+ years of experience leading teams and managing engineering processes for complex systems, within the shipbuilding or manufacturing industry. ~ Extensive experience with configuration management, preferably CM-II practitioner/expert ~ Proven ability to inspire, lead, and coach teams in adopting new and improved configuration management practices. ~ Demonstrated seniority and charisma to serve as the internal Configuration Management authority within Damen Naval. ~ Experience with Configuration Management tooling (Enovia, 3DX) is considered as an asset. ~ Excellent command of the English, and preferably also mastering the Dutch language (written & verbal). ~ Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
